Before beginning tutoring, we start with a Reading Diagnostic identifies your child’s reading strengths and the areas where they may need extra support. This one‑time session helps us understand exactly where your child is right now so we can recommend the most helpful next steps for their reading journey.​
What's Included in the Diagnostic Bundle
Parent Connection Call
This Parent Connection Call via Google Meet is a chance for the teacher and parent to connect and learn more about the student’s needs before classes begin. During this call we discuss the weekly schedule, talk about what to expect in our lessons, and answer any questions you may have.
30‑Minute Diagnostic Assessment
Conducted via Google Meet, we start by connecting with your child through a short, engaging warm‑up. From there, we move into a grade‑level assessment that looks at decoding, fluency, comprehension, and other foundational reading skills.

Follow-up & Written Report
We walk through the findings together and discuss next steps, including a written report that outlines assessment results, instructional recommendations, and suggested tutoring pathways.
